This is our second year going to the amazing/magical Polar Express by The Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad . We decided that this is our family gift to each other and upgraded to first class seating because we get one more year of our daughter riding for free becuase she is under 2 years old. Last year we got stuck behind a door which sorta stunk so this was an awesome upgrade! This event is the Narrow Gauge’s yearly fundraising event and they make magic happen for these kiddos.
Our daughter was skeptical at first and let out a big crying scream when she saw Santa, but loved the chefs reading the story and a cookie. On the other hand our son was star struck, but was also brave enough to tell the big man in red, “Santa I like you, but no hugs please.” hahaha We had fun dancing, eating cookies, drinking hot coco in fancy keepsake mugs and acting goofy (note the pic of my son doing a Jean-Claude Van Damme pose and my daughter face first on a chair.. yes that is real life) I say If you can save your pennies take the plunge on doing something fun with your family because it is so worth it. I’m holding on to these precious moments so close to my heart.
Thank you my beautiful children for keeping the magic alive in me.
