The day finally came to celebrate the marriage of Emily and Sam! Over the past year, I have gotten to know this couple on a more personal level and their vision for their wedding day. When I first met Emily and Sam on their engagement session seen here, I knew their day was going to be very thoughtful, craft, fun and loving. Emily and Sam worked very hard on their DIY wedding in Northeast Harbor. Every detail was made by the couple and I just need to say that Emily’s sewing ability and her calligraphy skills knocked it out of the park! Their seaside ceremony was sweet and sunny, followed by a night of fun, speeches, line dances and even a song sung by the groom Sam under the tent. One of my favorite memories is jumping Emily’s Jeep and the drive to her fathers first look, I had tears streaming down my face laughing so hard! I truly wish the day could have been extended into a few days. I can’t wait to see where your love story takes you!

I have a few, but one was when our wedding party busted into a line dance! We had told everyone to learn it and had to practice the night before, we weren’t perfect but it was beyond my expectation! another amazing moment was when I walked down the aisle to Sam and my brain created a tunnel effect and ALL I could see was him, I could no longer see everyone there, the decorations I had spent so many hours on, or even the beautiful ocean/mountain backdrop we had, all I saw was my Groom!
Sam – His favorite part of the day was the smile that never left my face. And just being surrounded by all the love, no matter if the candy ran dry or the beer ran out, he was as happy as they come because everyone was there celebrating our love!
Our family camps are side by side neighbors on the same lake. We knew each other for years, but being back at camp as adults and timing put us together!
LAUGH!!! just laugh, when something seems tough, hold each other and laugh through it, no matter how big or small because those will be memories one day if you let them!
my HAIR! but seriously, besides that, I could have everything set up the night before so the groom/men wouldn’t need to do it the morning of.
June 22 – the first Thursday of summer vacation, Sam left a trail of hints leading me to breakfast, the spa, ice cream, and eventually to my family land that I love so much. There he had mowed the field and was waiting on one knee with our golden retriever.
ALL THE CRAFTS were for sure my favorite part, most stressful would have to be the guest list and budgeting!
be organized! If you’re organized and doing a lot by yourself, it will be smooth. Give yourself plenty of time, breaks, and ice cream! and don’t let those small details get you upset, no one will notice in the end!
no….. trying to finish our house build! (maybe in February? fingers crossed!)
Emily -Sam is hard-working, even when he’s worked a long day but I still need one more chalk frame made / he doesn’t put his dishes in the sink!Emily is kind and honest, especially with kids and old folks/she doesn’t finish her drinks and leaves 1/2 inch
how easy it is! It’s like we’ve been friends for YEARS!!! the laughter, the adventure, and the honest to goodness love that is shared by all!
