Summer island weddings in Maine are pretty epic. Paige and Lex did a Peaks Island right. They chose the sweet venue the Lions Club on Peaks Island.  Paige and Lex are just about as sweet as they come with the best smiles in the world. Their day was filled with genuine love with a homegrown vibe. Island weddings are a lot of work and coordination but they pulled it off with ease while keeping the island charm. Congrats to the newlyweds. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness.

1. What was your favorite moment/ memory of your wedding day?

   Surprising lex with the oysters; the boat ride over with friends and family; scaling rocks on the beach for pics, and also just thinking of how supportive our friends and family are. They did so much work getting the day together for us and didn’t think twice about it – it was an overwhelming feeling.

2. How did you guys meet?

   At a Christmas party for local businesses held my Lexs work
3. Any word of advice/ wisdom for couples?

   Make your wedding day your own. It’s tempting to have a wedding that’s perfect for social media, but that’s not what will make your heart full on the day of.
4. Engagement Story?
   Lex proposed when we were on vacation in Colorado. He popped the question in front of Dream Lake!
5. Favorite part of wedding planning? Most stressful part of wedding planning?

   Favorite – I spent a lot more time with my family during the planning process. Most stressful – when our rehearsal dinner had a fire and we had to find a new venue the week before
6. any other fun details you want to share?

   We loved it all. The flowers, the colors, the people. Meeting some salt of the earth people – Murph from Lions Club, Misty and her bartenders, you and Heather, Carolyn, etc. We had a good laugh about me not being able to Lex’s ring on very quickly…
7. Are you going on a honeymoon? If so tell us!!! It gives couples ideas on where to go!

   We’re going to Portugal on Sept 5! So excited! We’re renting a car and driving all over.
8. What was one of your favorite things working with the Maine Tinker team?

   You were so much fun! You listened to what we were looking for. You took control of the day without being angry or aggravated. My sister said that you should double as a coordinator and we agree! You made it very fun and enjoyed watching your creative process
